About Danielle Nicole

Contemporary handbag label Danielle Nicole creates minimal, functional handbags reworked in modern leather and custom hardware, using a rich, vibrant color palette. The leather designs are chicly understated and elegant with built-in functionality, like RFID anti-theft technology. In addition to its core pieces, the brand has built a cult following for its co-brands with iconic brands like Disney, Warner Brothers Harry Potter, HBO’s Game of Thrones, and Nintendo, adding a pop cultural, whimsical feel to the collection.

Founded by President Danielle DiFerdinando, a self-described Disney dreamer turned New York-based handbag designer, whose career began when one of her own creations caught the eye of a buyer at Bergdorf Goodman. In 2006, DiFerdinando was a sophomore at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) studying Fashion Merchandising and Accessory Design. She started selling her first designs, all cosmetic cases, at the store in between classes and quickly sold through her entire initial line. The store expanded its order assortment and she launched her handbag collection Danielle Nicole on 5F that same year in Bergdorf Goodman. Before long, she was designing complete leather collections for BG, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Holt Renferw.

Danielle’s collections have been featured in Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Forbes, Vanity Fair, WWD, InStyle and dozens more. Oprah, Rihanna, Rachel Zoe,
Alessandra Ambrosio, and even Kate Hudson has been spotted wearing Danielle’s line. In 2015, DiFerdinando was named one of
Forbes Magazine’s 30 entrepreneurs under 30 years old.

DiFerdinando is based in New York City. She sits as the Vice Chair of the Board of Associates of the Ronald McDonald House New York and is a board member of the National Retail Federation Foundation—two positions and organizations near and dear to her heart.
